White iPhone 4S LCD Screen & Digitizer full assembly

This is the full LCD & digitizer assembly for White iPhone 4 cellphones . The iPhone 4S uses the same screen for Verizon & AT&T(CDMA and GSM) versions of the phone, so you need not worry about the carrier. 

These are brand new, have no proximity sensor issues, and come with the earpiece grille preattached to make your life easy. This is NOT a b-grade LCD - it's the original sharp LCD, and NOT a low digitizer that will not respond to your touch. Many assemblies out there use thick LCDs and slim adhesive to attach them to the glass digitizer. This causes pressure points. Many digitizers have less "points" on their grid, which means shoddy touch response. These assemblies are quality compared to the generic ecommerce companies buying $20 trash and passing it off as good.

My phone's screen doesn't turn off anymore when I put it to my head. What the hell?

If the phone does not go off when you put it to your face, it is not the screen's fault. There is a sensor on the phone under the screen. Its job is to sense light - if it sees no light(as it would when the phone is up against your face), the phone goes off. If it sees light, the phone stays on.

There is a little transluscent part on top of the screen, right above the earpiece grille. Its job is to let light in. Think about it - if this part of the screen were messed up, you would have a phone with a screen that were always OFF, because no light were coming through. If your LCD is always on, even when up against your face, the problem is that light is leaking into the sensor. 

This light is leaking in from the back of the LCD, as a result of improper installation. There is a pad that rests around the phone's proximity sensor that keeps light from the LCD from leaking into the sensor. Most of the time, it stays on the phone. On occasion, when the LCD/Digitizer assembly is removed, this square pad sticks to the screen. You must remove it from the old screen and put it on the new screen in order for your phone's proximity sensor to work.
